The vacations were first started by the English Generals in the middle of the eighteenth century, who in order to take refuge from the English Colds started to take outings in different warm places of the country side in the summer seasons. Since then, the famous ‘Summer Holidays’ originated. The Summer Holidays have themselves extensively developed the tourists market all, over the English Country.

Thus, the holidays have been also developed to celebrate the achievements and goals of the officers, who made it possible to rule the world. It is a holiday of such an important proportion that it has been given a place in the list of national holidays. Thus, we see that though the cold brings agony to the people of the country, but it has also led to the birth of summer holidays.
