Navaratri literally means Nine Nights, and it is a Hindu festival of worship and dance. During these days the various forms of Mother Goddess Durga are celebrated with joy and devotion. The festival is celebrated four times a year, and in October it is the Sharana Navaratri, the most important of Navaratris.
