Bermuda Day: May 24
Labour Day is a public holiday in Bermuda.
The people of Bermuda have long struggled for equality among all racial and cultural elements. Steeped in a slave past, the people of the country have fought to also bring about fairness in work relations. The creation of the Bermuda Progressive Labour Party in the 1960s and Labor Day in the 1980s were part of a natural progression towards a safe and fair workplace for the people.
