Araw ng Kagitingan is celebrated as a public holiday in the Philippines.

The Araw ng Kagitingan or the Day of Valor is celebrated in the Philippines every 9th of April as a national memorial day for the brave souls who fought during the Fall of Bataan on April 9, 1942 during the World War II.

The holiday also pays respect and tribute to the many civilian men who died on the tragic Death March which started from Bataan and ended in Tarlac.

Arbor Day is observed in South Africa.

Arbor Day is celebrated with a day of planting and caring for trees and flowers in South Korea. On April 5, 1343, King Songjong unified the kingdom of Korea. During the Korea War in the early 1950s, the fighting between the Koreans in the north and south was so severe that many of the forests were destroyed. Arbor Day was established after the Korean War as a way to reforest the lands of South Korea.

Ching Ming is a public holiday in China and Taiwan.

Ching Ming (Qing Ming) also known as Tomb Sweeping Festival is observed in China and is celebrated every 5th of April annually. The date of the celebration may vary either on the 104th date after winter solstice falls or the 15th day from the Spring Equinox. Ching Ming is known and observed among Chinese-speaking countries and territories such as Taiwan, Hongkong, and Macau.

Birthday of Rama is a religious observance for Hindus worldwide.

In the Hindu Calendar, the Birthday of Rama falls on the ninth day of the month of Chaitra which usually falls between the regular month of March and April. The celebration is locally called as Ramnavami or Rama Navami.
