Arbor Day Date: April 5, 2010
Arbor Day is observed in South Africa.
Arbor Day is celebrated with a day of planting and caring for trees and flowers in South Korea. On April 5, 1343, King Songjong unified the kingdom of Korea. During the Korea War in the early 1950s, the fighting between the Koreans in the north and south was so severe that many of the forests were destroyed. Arbor Day was established after the Korean War as a way to reforest the lands of South Korea.
